Browsing the website

This version of the website does not include advertising scripts, advertising cookies or third-party traffic analytics. Fonts and the website’s own images are served locally. Ordinary page views do not load external audio or video players.

The hosting provider processes technical information needed to deliver the website, such as your IP address and browser request information. Server logs may also be used to maintain service and investigate technical problems.

Contact messages

The contact form asks for your name, email address, selected topic and message. These details are sent to the Home Records Label contact mailbox so we can handle your inquiry. A ticket number identifies the correspondence, and a confirmation email is sent to the address you supply. Email delivery involves the hosting and email services used to send and receive these messages.

The form uses an essential session cookie to verify the request, check the displayed verification code and limit repeated submissions. If a submission fails validation, the information you entered is kept temporarily in that session so it can be restored when you return to the form. The session cookie has no persistent expiry and is configured as HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax; it is marked Secure when the form is served over HTTPS.

External audio, video and links

External media is loaded only after you choose to activate it. Doing so connects your browser to the named provider, which can receive information such as your IP address and browser details and may use cookies under its own policies. Opening an external link similarly takes you to a service with its own privacy practices.

You can read the providers’ notices at SoundCloud, YouTube / Google and Bandcamp. You can browse this website without activating external players.

Download counts

Instrument downloads have a simple server-side counter. To avoid counting repeated requests for the same product in a short period, the server derives a hashed fingerprint from the product identifier, IP address and browser user-agent, and stores it with a timestamp. This is a pseudonymous technical identifier, not a claim of anonymity. The counter does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics.

The current implementation deduplicates requests for the same product within a 15-minute window. Older fingerprint entries are removed as subsequent download requests are processed; the total download counts remain separate from those entries.

Your choices

You can avoid external media, contact us directly by email, and manage cookies using your browser’s settings. Blocking the necessary session cookie prevents the contact form from verifying a submission. To ask about access to, correction of or deletion of information you have supplied, email contact@homerecordslabel.com.
